Come to Parkgate to see ducks, geese, wading birds and birds of prey exploring the marsh. During low tides, birds stay far out on the estuary, so the best time to visit is during high tide. That's when you could get great, close-up views of birds of prey hunting, or wading birds, depending on the season. There's an information board in the car park with a map of the area and details of upcoming events.
View from Parkgate promenade or Parkgate Old Baths car park near The Boathouse pub. DO NOT wander out onto the saltmarsh as this can cause massive disturbance to the birds. The terrain can be very unstable and you might also become stranded by the rising tides.
