With pond dipping, regular fun events and walks to help you get away from it all, RSPB Fairburn Ings is the ideal place for adults and children to find out more about wildlife. The three main trails take you through a variety of habitats allowing stunning views of birds such as willow tits and tree sparrows in the woodland, and lapwings, snipe and redshanks in the wet grassland. Please noteThe floods have now receded and damage is being repaired. The footpaths are now open but are not access to all (wheelchairs and pushchairs may struggle in parts). Opening timesMain car park: daily 9 am-5 pm. Lin Dyke car park is open at all times. Visitor centre: weekends and bank holidays 9.30 am-5 pm, weekdays 9.30 am-4.30 pm. The centre is only closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and the main car park is open every day except Christmas Day. Entrance chargesFree, but donations to help us continue our work here are welcome. |
