Fen Drayton Lakes |
Fen Drayton Lakes is a new nature reserve. At the moment, there aren't many facilities but it's a wonderful place to stroll around and enjoy the wildlife: huge flocks of wading birds and ducks in autumn and winter, warblers, butterflies and dragonflies during spring and summer. You could even see an otter! Opening timesOpen at all times. Entrance chargesNone, though donations to help us continue our work here are appreciated. Fens through a LensMore than 100 people took part in the ‘Fens Through A Lens’ photographic competition, organised by the RSPB, the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough Wildlife Trust and Cambridge University Museum of Zoology. The pictures can be seen at a free exhibition at the museum, which starts next month, before touring the reserves. Click here for more information. |
