  1. Listen out for the drumming of great spotted woodpeckers
  2. Listen for the song of newly-arrived warblers
  3. Admire the endless carpets of delicate wood anemones

  1. Enjoy the dappled sunlight and sound of water tumbling down the deep stream valleys
  2. Watch for the gliding flight of silver-washed fritillaries and white admirals along the woodland rides
  3. Sit by the pond and watch for dragonflies catching other insects

  1. Search for fungi on the ground and also on tree trunks
  2. Admire the autumn leaf colour
  3. Check the surrounding fields for returning winter thrushes
