RSPB Forsinard reserve, bog pool with cotton grass, sphagnum etc

ParkingDisabled accessToiletsDisabled toilets

A threatened landscape, peatlands have vanished across much of Scotland, but the RSPB is helping to preserve this vital area of internationally important habitat. Summer is the time to come, when golden plovers, hen harriers and greenshanks breed. Why not come on a guided bog walk to get up close to the fascinating flora and fauna?

Opening times

Reserve open at all times; visitor centre is open Easter to end of October, daily 9 am to 5.30 pm.

Entrance charges

Free, but donations to help us continue our work here are welcome.

What can I do?

The life is being sucked out of the Flow Country. You can do something to help - for all the birds and other wildlife whose existence depends on this unique peatland habitat
