By train
Shepreth 2 miles (3.5 km) away. From station walk into village; after 200 m turn right opposite village hall; after 30 m turn left into Frog End; after 500 m turn left through field gate opposite church onto footpath that follows River Shep; after 500 m cross A10 (beware of traffic) and turn right alongside A10.
After 250 m continue on blocked off road; after 250 m turn left on to public footpath opposite Green Man pub; after 200 m turn right and follow River Shep; after 700 m turn left onto single track road (beware of traffic); after 400 m turn right into reserve (RSPB sign).
By bus
Dunsbridge Turnpike (outside Country Homes & Gardens), 1 mile (1.5 km). Walk towards Melbourn; after 300 m, cross road and turn left on to single track road to Fowlmere (beware of traffic); after 0.75 mile (1.2 km), turn right into reserve (RSPB sign).
By road
From the A10 (Cambridge to Royston) turn towards Fowlmere at the Fowlmere-Shepreth crossroads (no RSPB sign); after 1 mile (1.5 km), turn right by the cemetery (RSPB sign); after another 0.6 mile (1 km), turn left into the reserve (RSPB sign).
