  2. Listen to birds singing in the woods and reedbeds
  3. Look for fish - including brown trout - in the chalk stream

  2. Look out for butterflies feeding on flowers and basking in the sunshine

  1. Common darter dragonflies can be seen as late as November
  2. Stay until dusk for a good chance of seeing barn owls hunting
  3. The reeds take on a golden glow in the late afternoons

  2. Listen for flocks of small birds - tits, siskins and lesser redpolls - feeding in the trees
