Visit at high tides from autumn to spring for close-up views of roosting waders – the bigger the tide the better the spectacle! In winter there are brent geese, birds of prey, twites, corn buntings, rock pipits and, with luck, Lapland buntings. In summer, large numbers of redshanks breed at an exceptionally high density.
