If you want to see a golden eagle but can’t get to the Highlands of Scotland, you could try Haweswater where a male displays in the hope of attracting a mate. An observation point in spring and summer is reached from the western end of Haweswater, 1.25 miles (2 km) along an uneven path. Opening timesReserve is always open. Eagle viewpoint is open from 11 am-4 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, plus bank holidays. Entrance chargesFree, but donations to help us continue our work here are welcome. |
