Insh Marshes National Nature Reserve is one of the most important wetlands in Europe. Enjoy a springtime stroll and look out for nesting lapwings, redshanks and curlews, or visit in the wintertime when the marsh floods.

Please note

The existing main Information Viewpoint hide is being replaced, starting with demolishing the old one on 9 November. The new replacement hide should be open in late February. The reserve and other hides will continue to be open to visitors during this period, although some footpaths may be temporarily diverted. The project is being funded by: Scottish Natural Heritage, Gillman Trust, Cairngorms National Park Authority and Cairngorms LEADER.
