  1. Listen for the rattling calls of cirl buntings from the tops of the hedgerows
  2. Enjoy the spectacular views out across the bay from the car park and or the paths around the reserve
  3. Watch out for skylarks as they fly high in the sky and sing up above the farmland

  1. Watch colourful butterflies flitting across the coastal grassland
  2. You might spot dolphins or basking sharks while taking in the view
  3. Look for peregrines as they perform their aerobatics

Top things to do in Autumn

  1. Cirl buntings sing all year round, so listen out for their rattling call on sunny days
  2. Look for interesting fungi in the wooded areas and grazed fields
  3. Count how many different birds you can spot feeding in the fields

Top things to do in Winter

  1. Look out for cirl buntings and other birds such as chaffinches feeding on the fields left fallow
  2. Wrap up warm and enjoy a bracing walk through the fields
  3. Can you spot redwings and fieldfares - migrants from Scandinavia?
