Footpaths on the the reserve are unsuitable for wheelchairs/pushchairs, although the car park has a firm and level surface and you can get great views across Lyme Bay from there.
The car park's southern exit alongside the Teignmouth Road is the start of the easiest walk across the fields towards the Great Plantation. Although the fields are grazed throughout the year, this light walk still requires suitable footwear as the fields can be wet - especially in the morning.
The car park's northern exit is the start of a medium walk but quickly leads to quieter parts of the reserve, where other senses can be used to enjoy nature. A very challenging section of the South West Coast Path can be accessed from the reserve. It is steep in places and can be very slippery.
