By train
Collingham Station, follow station road into Collingham village until you reach the Red Lion pub at a set of crossroads. Turn left (south) and follow the main road through village towards the Kings Head pub. Opposite the Kings Head pub is a right hand turn follow this road south to cottage lane. Follow cottage lane south for half a mile until you meet a right-hand turn onto a bridleway and Sustrans cycle route No. 64 signposted to Newark. This leads to the Langford Lowfields woodland and the public footpath.
By bus
Bus from Newark to Collingham will stop near to the public footpath if asked.
By road
Please note the only public access to the main part of site is by appointment, via a guided walk or volunteering, although a public footpath runs around the perimeter. Leave the M1 at junction 21A, then merge onto the A46 (signposted Leicester, Newark). Stay on A46 for approx. 40 miles, pass around Newark and follow signs to Lincoln until you see a roundabout with first exit directing you onto the A1133 (signposted Collingham). After approximately 2 miles, turn left into the Tarmac ‘works access’ road, signposted Langford Quarry. There are large electricity pylons overhead at this junction, then follow the road into the Tarmac car park and sign in at the office.
