The reserve is 4 miles/6 km north of Carnforth. Take J35 off the M6 (signposted Carnforth), then follow the A6 north (signposted to Milnthorpe). Brown Tourist signs direct you to the reserve off the A6 and take you through the villages of Yealand Redmayne and Yealand Storrs.
Alternatively, to come from Carnforth, follow signs to Silverdale, passing through the village of Millhead.
