I loved the visit we had to Leighton Moss, and only wish we had more time there to see more. The species were easy to see from the hides. I would have loved to see the bearded tits sitting on the grit trays, but maybe another day in the future. We will be back in the future for definite!!
Wow, how fantastic is this place! My first visit and I had the great pleasure of watching a bittern - such an honour. Amazing location for photography and such wonderful surroundings. Thank you for this experience.

My hubbie and I came over from Leeds for a two day visit this week and what a wonderful time we both had. Everything was just perfect from the lovely cafe to the great staff on duty and THE RESERVE!! Where do I start? The peace and quiet in such beautiful surroundings was really magical, perfect for two stressed cityites. We saw our first marsh harrier and on the second day the bittern came and put on an unbelievable show for everyone in our hide. It was just too fantastic for words.

It may have only been a brief visit to the reserve and the saltmarshes but every second was worthwhile. Leighton Moss is FANTASTIC - I can't wait to come back in May!!! I had three new species from the site alone, so if you haven't been yet - WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?????

We were lucky enough to see two bitterns from the Public Hide, plus a barn owl, peregrine and marsh harrier from Lillian Hide. Fantastic!

A brilliant nature reserve. Staff very helpful. The children on school field trips are provided with a well-prepared, interesting and educational programme. The wildlife and the whole atmosphere was just amazing.

This was one of the best places I have ever been! I went with my school and was showed things that I didn't even think I would want to see, but it turns out I was really intrested. I loved it and would go again today - the variety of birds was brilliant and it wasn't like you had to sit and watch for hours untill you spotted something interesting.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable day with the birds. The tearoom really added to the experience, they have a great range, and the staff sparkled, and their infectious energy and enthusiasm made the trip both memorable and hugely enjoyable.
