Long-tailed duck surfacing from dive

Parking

This large shallow loch attracts large numbers of wildfowl during autumn and winter, including whooper swans, wigeons and teals. If you visit in summer, you’ll see Arctic terns and great skuas bathing in the water.

Opening times

The loch can be viewed from the road all year-round.

Free, but donations to help us continue our work here are welcome.
