How to get here

By train

Penzance station. All services are now provided by First Great Western and Virgin Cross Country.

By bus

First Group buses on route numbers 2, 7 and 8 and Sunset 'Bay2Bay' service number 340 operate from Penzance bus terminus (outside the south entrance/exit to the railway station) to Marazion. On reaching Marazion, step off at Green Lane for the reserve entrance. From here, cross the road and proceed in a northerly direction up Green Lane for about 30 m. Take the first left turn and walk over the bridge and the reserve entrance gate is on your right about 10 m further on.

By road

From Penzance railway station, head east along Chyandour Cliff to the Tesco roundabout. Continue east along the A30 to the heliport roundabout, take the third exit, to Longrock, go straight across the Morrison's roundabout and through Longrock. At the mini roundabout beyond the pedestrian crossing, take the second exit to Marazion. At the T-junction at the railway bridge, bear right and head along the sea front for approximately 500 m and turn left down the minor road. About 30 m along this road on the right is a car park. Having parked, walk through the entrance/exit gate and turn right and about 20 m on your left is the entrance gate to the reserve. The journey is about 3.2 km/2 miles. Free parking is available along the sea front, but space can be at a premium at busy times.

Other ways to get to the reserve

On foot from Penzance railway station, head across the bus station area to the sea wall, access the footpath that runs alongside the wall, through the entrance to the pumping station and follow the footpath that runs between the railway tracks and the beach eastwards towards Marazion. It is worth looking over the foreshore and over Mount's Bay too as these sites offer good views of shore and seabirds. After about 3 km, the path enters the car park behind Jordan's cafe. There are toilets here. Proceed through the car park and cross to the north side of the Longrock-Marazion road. The reserve is now in front of you but to access the reserve you will have to proceed east a further 500 m to the entrance gate by bearing left at the minor road junction before the town. The entrance gate is about 50 m on your left along this road.
