Woodland is worth exploring at any time, but spring at Nagshead is especially interesting. Wander along the trails looking for pied flycatchers, redstarts and tits around the nestboxes, and watch the skies for ravens, buzzards and sparrowhawks. There are hawfinches and all three British woodpeckers in the woods all year round.

Opening times

Reserve open at all times, year-round. Reception/information centre (with toilet facilities) open 10 am - 4 pm at weekends only between Easter and August bank holidays inclusive.
