All nature trails around Newport Wetlands nature reserve have easy accessibility. There are 6 disabled parking spaces in the car park. The visitor centre is 180 metres away from the car park.
The path leading from the car park to the visitor centre consists of limestone chippings with limestone dust laid on top and compacted, the maximum gradient being 1:40 on wooden walkways.
There is a disabled toilet in the visitor centre. There will be picnic tables with spaces for wheelchair users outside the visitor centre.
We now hire out scooters and wheelchairs free of charge for use on the reserve. While booking is not essential, we recommend checking availability in advance by contacting the Visitor Centre. To hire out a scooter, please bring photo ID, a utility bill and a credit or debit card. To hire out a wheelchair, bring a credit or debit card.
