Situated right at the heart of the Dearne Valley, Old Moor is a wonderful place to come and watch wildlife. The skies, fields and open water are teeming with birds throughout the year. Please noteThe reserve is now open again after the recent flooding. Please call 01226 751593 for the latest information. Opening times1 November - 31 January: visitor centre open 9.30 am - 4 pm. Gates open until 4.30 pm. 1 February - 31 October: visitor centre open 9.30 am - 5 pm. Gates open until 5.15 pm. The site is closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Entrance chargesRSPB members free; adults £2.50; children £1.25; family ticket £5 (any number of children); concessions £2. Free access from Old Moor to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council 'Passport to Leisure' and 'Rothercard' cardholders. |
