Cycling at Radipole Lake

Set in the heart of Weymouth on Dorset's Jurassic coast, Radipole Lake allows you to get up close to birds and wildlife in their natural surroundings.
At any time of year this wetland will offer you plenty to watch from the nature trails. Herons, ducks, grebes, terns and wading birds are just some of the wildlife you will see, as well as the more unusual bearded tits and Cetti's warblers.
RSPB Radipole Lake nature reserve is in a great location for public transport just a few minutes walk from Weymouth Train station and on the Weymouth cycle route one. This takes you past the nature reserve with lovely views across Radipole Lake and over the reed bed.
Although there is no cycling on the nature reserve itself, there are cycle stands at the Radipole Lake visitor centre where you can get hot and cold refreshments and snacks with a lovely seating area overlooking the lake, where there's always something to watch on the water.
The visitor centre has great views over the lake and is full of activities from duck feeding to pond dipping. A lovely day out for all the family.
