Despite the weather had a great day out. Staff friendly and supportive. good showings of water rail and snipe plus many species of waterfowl. Can highly recommend and will definitely be returning soon.

I've just turned 16 and I can't wait to hopefully begin volounteering here. It is really a wonderful place and these people do really wonderful work. I can't sing their praises enough. The site is really well looked after and it is really a beautiful place, being surrounded by the urban outside yet so peaceful. Every time I go I have a wonderful time.

It was my first time to the reserve and it was brill - with a black-tailed godwit and green sandpipers. I can't wait to go again.

Fantastic day, truly an urban oasis! Friendly staff and volunteers, can't wait to come back.

We first walked around the site anti-clockwise stopping at the hides and the screens. On our return to the visitors centre we got out our lunch and relaxed at the picnic table enjoying the lovely view. We set off again but this time walked around clockwise and were surprised by the different views we gained by walking in the opposite direction. Had a brilliant day, didn’t realise we were so close to such a resource and will be visiting again.

Even though it was a wet day, we had a wonderful time observing the birds from the reception hide. Spotted grebe, shoveler and tufted duck. Well worth a visit.
