South Stack seabirds live video

Please be prepared to wait a few seconds while the video stream loads.

Video feed requires Windows Media Player (PC) or Flip4Mac (Mac).

What am I looking at?

The antics of the seabirds breeding on the cliffs at South Stack on the Welsh island of Anglesey. Staff at the reserve will move the camera around to show you birds like puffins, guillemots and razorbills.

Where is it?

RSPB South Stack Cliffs nature reserve, Anglesey, Wales

Factfile

  • Around 4,000 seabirds call South Stack home, coming back each spring to breed
  • The camera is positioned halfway down the cliff-face, so it does get coated in seaspray sometimes. Also, visibility can be poor, but where would Wales be without rain? The camera has a wiper to help in these situations
  • The birds won't really fall off the cliffs; the camera pans and tilts so the angle looks steeper than it is in reality
  • Visit South Stack in person and you could also see peregrines, choughs, ravens and skylarks
