Male pintail dabbling

This marshland reserve is one of the best remaining marshes in the Orkney islands. In the summer, pintails and wading birds breed, while in the winter, the flooded marsh attracts hundreds of ducks and smaller numbers of white-fronted geese.

Opening times

There is no access to the marsh, but good views can be obtained from the road and hide.
