This popular reserve on the north Norfolk coast has something for everyone. A walk from the visitor centre down to the sandy beach takes you past reedbeds and shallow lagoons, which are often full of birds. You can sit on benches or watch from spacious, wheelchair-accessible hides.

Please note

Starting in early June 2009, we are replacing the island hide. The old one will be demolished on June 1 and we hope to have the new one ready for visitors by the middle of June. See the accessibility page for more information

Opening times

The reserve is always open. The centre is open from 9.30 am-5 pm (9.30 am-4 pm from mid-November to mid-February).

Entrance charges

There is an facility charge of £4 per car for non members.

What can I do?

Help us protect the freshwater habitats of Titchwell Marsh from the sea

Coastal Change Project

Titchwell Marsh nature reserve is under pressure. The coast is changing as the sea erodes the land and the reserve's sea walls are not robust enough to hold back the ever-nearing seawater. We need to take action now to adapt to these changes and protect the reserve's freshwater habitats for the wildlife which relies on them. More...
