By road
Travelling north along the A9 from Inverness, turn right onto the B9169 signed to Culbokie. Continue for approximately 9.5 miles (15 km), going past the remains of St. Michael's church on your left, then round a sharp left bend. Take the next left (B9163) to Cromarty. After approx 0.6 mile (1 km), park in the lay-by on your left. The hide is at the far end of the lay-by.

Other ways to get to the reserve
A ferry sails from Nigg Ferry to Cromarty, half-hourly from May to October. Space for two cars and 50 foot passengers. On arrival at Cromarty the reserve is around 4.5 miles (7 km) along the B9163 (to Jemimaville), on the right.
