New Zealand

The islands around New Zealand are home to more albatross species than anywhere else in the world.

Unfortunately, many of the islands' bird populations have declined because of fire, livestock grazing and other introduced mammals.

The New Zealand government are working hard to remove these invasive species - to protect and restore the unique biodiversity of the islands.
