Westonbirt Arboretum
Why we want you
Ever stared a nuthatch in the face? Or ogled a Great Spotted Woodpecker at close quarters? Our one-way glass feeding station connects visitors to Westonbirt Arboretum, managed by the Forestry Commission, with some amazing woodland critters. It gives the RSPB an amazing opportunity to tell our stories to visitors - everything from what we do for our woodland birds, to looking after tigers in Sumatra and saving albatrosses in the Southern Ocean.
We are looking for volunteers (winter weekends; and June - November during the week) who are comfortable and happy talking to members of the public about the benefits of RSPB membership, thereby helping to raise vital funds for the Society's valuable conservation work. Whether switching a kid to nature by explaining our Wildlife Explorer's club, or enabling enthusiastic people to visit RSPB reserves, this is a chance to open up a world to people and generate funds for the RSPB at the same time.
What’s in it for you?
