Events & Activities Volunteer - Middleton Lakes

Middleton Lakes

Why we want you

We are looking for outgoing and enthusiastic volunteers to help organise and run fun, educational events and wildlife activities for families. Middleton Lakes is a new RSPB reserve which opened to the public in 2011. We want to let local people know all about our work and how the reserve is developing. Part of this will be through onsite and outreach activities such as stalls in shopping centres and one-off reserve activities like nest box building.

What’s in it for you?

You will gain experience in organising and delivering events and activities.
The RSPB is an active and exciting nature conservation charity, the largest in Europe! We can help you gain skills and give you a valuable insight into our work.

The skills you need

If you have good organisational skills, enjoy working with young people or just getting out and about sharing your passion for conservation with the public then this might be the role for you. Some knowledge of the RSPB and it's work would be beneficial but certainly not essential as training will be provided.

Your time

Minimum commitment: One day per month or more- often weekends and evenings
Duration: Ongoing
Period: All year round
