Pin Badge Box Minder - Midlands Region
Midlands Regional Office
Why we want you
Do you have an hour or two to spare each month?
We are looking for volunteers in your area to place and visit pin badge boxes in sites such as shops, cafes and garden centres. You can help to raise up to a potential £1,000 a year for the RSPB in locations such as these! If you can help look after these boxes in the area then we would be delighted to hear from you.
What’s in it for you?
You will have the opportunity to get out and about in your local area and meet people, as well as enthusing others about the RSPB's work. The money that you raise will make a real difference - helping conservation on all levels, from the birds in your back garden to the Sumatran tigers!
We can help you to gain skills and an insight to our work, and what's more, you can fit it easily into your regular routine! You will be supported in your role by a friendly volunteer area coordinator, who will assist you in restocking badges as well as taking on your income and order reports each month.
The skills you need
A personable approach, knowledge of the local area, a high amount of motivation, initiative to work on one's own, strong communication skills, basic numeracy skills and the ability to visit sites every four to six weeks.
The boxes should be restocked and the money counted and banked every four to six weeks, with money paid in at a nearby Post Office or PayPoint location.
Minimum commitment: Visiting the outlet every 4-6 weeks
Period: All year round
