Wildlife Explorers Main Leader - Pagham Harbour

Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve

Why we want you

A challenge, lots of fun, the chance to contribute to RSPB Wildlife Explorers (the junior membership of the RSPB). Young people are tomorrow's conservationists. The RSPB has over 100 RSPB Wildlife Explorers groups across the UK and wishes to increase this number. Our brand new reserve at Pagham harbour near Chichester is looking to open a youth group in September and we are now looking for someone with entusiasm and ability to connect with children to work with the RSPB educational officer and act as the main leader for the group.

What’s in it for you?

The opportunity to enthuse and inspire young people about, birds, the environment and conservation. The RSPB is an active and exciting conservation charity, the largest in Europe! We can help you gain skills and give you a valuable insight into our work.

The skills you need

Boundless energy and enthusiasm. The ability to communicate with young people. You will need to attend a weekend training course during your first year. Our RSPB Wildlife Explorers group will meet monthly with a programme of indoor and outdoor events. With preparation time, you will need 8-10 hours a month.

Your time

Minimum commitment: Ten to twelve meetings a year.
Duration: Ongoing
Period: All year round
