Why we want you
The RSPB attends shows and events across Greater Manchester and we need someone to engage families with craft and other activities at the events to increase their enjoyment with the natural world and enhance the visitor experience offered by the RSPB.
What’s in it for you?
The chance to attend shows and events with the People Engagement Officer, running wildlife related activities. Share your creative side with members of the public and a chance to come up with activity ideas relevant for families. The chance to meet and talk to members of the public and pass on your passion for wildlife.
The skills you need
Experience of working with and engaging families. Willing to run activities at events to encourage engagement and support the work of the People Engagement Officer.
Ideally a creative person who can come up with new ideas to easily and simply attract and engage families with the environment. Willing to share these ideas and activities with other members of the team. An interest and knowledge in wildlife and conservation.
Your time
Minimum commitment: 1 day per month, ideally Saturday and Sundays
Duration: Ongoing
Period: All year round

Notes
All resources for activities will be supplied or reimbursed by the RSPB as will travel to events if required. Background information to the work of the RSPB will also be provided.
