The breathtaking landscapes and habitats of Wales are teeming with wildlife. See choughs swooping above coastal cliffs, red kites soaring over rugged woodland and grey seals lazing along the coast. Hear noisy gannets nesting on Grassholm Island and the bubbling calls of black grouse. The variety of wildlife in Wales is huge - and you can experience the best bits with us. Our work in Wales helps protect this wonderful wildlife and the places they live.

Tesco customers helping wildlife in Wales

In 2011 Wales became the first UK country to charge 5p for single-use carrier bags. The money is collected by the retailer instore and passed on to good causes here in Wales.

Tesco generously decided to donate the money it collected to RSPB Cymru. Tesco customers raised over £1 million which has helped us fund projects to save threatened Welsh wildlife and bring people closer to nature. Find out what we've done.

Conwy Connections

Over the past year RSPB Conwy nature reserve has had a make-over. More space has been created for families and friends to meet, relax and explore, with a newly-landscaped area providing elevated views of the reserve and the Conwy valley.

The reserve now also includes a play area, graffiti tunnel and a new building called The LookOut - a fantastic indoor space built out of straw bales, rendered with clay on the inside and lime on the outside.
