About
  • How well do you know the area you live in?
  • Who else lives there?
  • Would you like to find out more?

Then Wildsquare is the project for you!  Wildsquare is an exciting project that you, your family, school or your group can take part in. Get involved and take part in some great surveys in a place that is special to you.

To get your Wildsquare all you need to do is choose a one kilometre square near where you live. Your Wildsquare can be wherever you like - it can contain your house if you would prefer or you can choose an area you visit regularly like a local park, field, school grounds or nature reserve - its up to you.

We will tell you about exciting surveys and other activities you can do in your square using the RSPB Wildlife Explorer web pages. There will be indoor and outdoor activity sheets to do throughout the year plus extra surveys that we will announce through the news update page.

Once you have done a survey you will need to tell us what you have seen in your Wildsquare.  Before we can protect our wildlife we need to learn more about it. By taking part you will be helping conservationists to learn about and protect our wildlife and environment. . I am sure you will agree this is very important. You will need to keep visiting the website to find out the survey results.
