Fungi

If you took part in this survey and would like to submit your results, then please click the button below.

Autumn is a good time to look for fungi, but keep checking as some of them pop up overnight. What we see are the fruiting bodies. We don’t see their huge network of threads called mycelium hidden under the ground or in wood. Be careful though, many fungi are poisonous, so look but don't touch.

What do I have to do?

You need to visit your Wildsquare 3 times from 1st September to the 30th November. Please try to go into your square once in September, once in October and once in December to do your survey. This doesn't mean you can't visit your Wildsquare more often though.
