What you can do to help
The Albatross Task Force is showing fishermen how to catch fish without catching albatrosses, RSPB Wildlife Explorers have paid for a new member of the Albatross Task Force to help save more albatrosses. They raised money in many difference ways, for example they got their friends and family to sponsor them doing something - cycling, running, hopping to name just a few. They made things to sell, such as cakes or pictures. By the end of February 2008, RSPB Wildlife Explorers had raised over £47,000. Although the RSPB Wildlife Explorer Albatross Appeal has now closed you can still help us raise even more money by sending us the used stamps from your post, which we can sell. We can also raise money from stamps – whether they are used or un-used, UK, foreign or even first day covers. For example, we raise £3.50 per kg for UK stamps and £12.50 per kg for foreign stamps. Please note though – if you’re sending small amounts of stamps it will; pay to save them up, to 2 kilos or more before you send them in otherwise it could cost more to post them than we can raise from them. Thanks! Please see the link on the right for more information about sending us your stamps. |
