Chaffinch

- I live almost everywhere in the UK
- I eat seeds but feed my chicks on insects

Male chaffinch feeding young at nest
The colourful male has a blue-grey head, pinkish-brown breast and cheeks and a chestnut back. The white in the wings forms is eye-catching on males and the brown females. Also, notice the white outer feathers on the tail.
