Make Robbie Robin

Robbie Robin pencil holder

Enjoy making a Robbie the Robin Pencil Holder with this fun make and do activity!

You will need:

  • A small plastic container such a herb container (or a kitchen roll)
  • Stiff card
  • White paper for the eyes
  • Brown paper (or you could colour or paint white paper to required colour)
  • Black or dark brown paper for beak, pupils and legs
  • Red paper for the breast
  • Scissors
  • Glue or sticky tape

Find a kitchen roll or a small plastic container such as a herb container and remove the lid.

Cover the container completely with brown card and then cut out a red oval for the 'red breast'. Glue this into position.

For the eyes, cut out two small white circles about the size of a one-penny coin, and two smaller black pieces for the pupils. Glue them into position.

Using stiff card, cut a triangle shape to make the beak and glue into position.

Make wings by cutting brown paper into long, oval shapes and glueing them into place on each side of the body.

Feet may be made with brown or black paper.
