• Blue tits can lay up to 14 eggs each year. That’s a lot of mouths to feed! And the blue tits keep busy bringing up to 1,000 caterpillars to their brood every day! 
• Blue tits nest in some very unusual places – like tin cans and car radiators – but you can help them out by putting up a wooden nestbox in your garden or school.  
• You may have more blue tits coming to your garden than you think. If you see three at once, there may be 10 times as many visiting during the day!
