starling - B- Male starlings love to copy other birds’ songs, but they also 'borrow' noises like telephones, car alarms and cats meowing!
- In spring, you can tell male and female starlings apart by looking at the base of their beak (nearest their body). For the boys, it’s bluish, with pink for the girls!
- Young starlings look quite different from their shiny parents at first – they’re brown all over. Their adult feathers start to appear as black patches on their belly.
