The team at RSPB Burton Mere Wetlands, are inviting visitors to get out and enjoy nature, as much of the reserve near Neston blooms with new life.

Father’s Day is fast approaching, and the site are offering ‘Dads Go Free’ for families visiting on Sunday 16 June. There will also be Wild Challenge activities available, from a nature-themed quiz trail to den building in the woods. Normal admission charges apply for accompanying family members, and some activities have a small additional charge. Drop-in 10am-4pm.

The following weekend, Saturday 22-Sunday 23 June, the reserve hosts a Binocular and Telescope Open Weekend in support of the site’s new shop. Experts will be on hand to advise on choosing the best binoculars, telescopes and accessories to suit all needs and allow attendees to look a little closer at the array of wildlife.

There will be a wide range of brands to try, and order on the day for home delivery; whether choosing a first pair of binoculars or looking to upgrade, there’s something for everyone. It's free to attend, but normal admission charges apply for non-member visitors wanting to head around the reserve too.

Venue: RSPB Burton Mere Wetlands nature reserve, Puddington Lane, Burton, Cheshire, CH64 5SF.
