With summer just around the corner, the RSPB, Manchester City Council and the Mersey Valley Friends groups are on the lookout for volunteers and are holding a special event for the public to find out more.
The event will take place on Sunday 8 July at Chorlton Water Park, and the public are invited to drop-in between 11am–2pm to meet RSPB staff and volunteers, find out what volunteering involves and learn more about ways they can help to save nature in the Mersey Valley and beyond. From helping to deliver Wild Challenge family events, fundraising through the RSPB’s pin badge box scheme, or getting hands on through practical conservation work, there are a range of roles available around Manchester that provide the opportunity to meet new people, gain new skills and help to give nature a home.
Venue: Chorlton Water Park, Maitland Avenue, Chorlton, Manchester, M21 7WH.
