RSPB Scotland and the Aigas Field Centre are hosting a special day to celebrate the region's red kites. Families are being invited to join in a wide range of bird-related games and activities at the Tollie Red Kites viewing centre, near Dingwall, on Saturday 11 February. The activities will be available from 11am until 1pm with a short stop for lunch before food is put out to feed the kites at 1.30pm.

RSPB Scotland's Brad Chappell said, "I am delighted that Aigas's Natureday team is joining the RSPB Tollie team on the 11th. There will be fun for all the family and, with luck, visitors should gain wonderful views of the kites. We hope that people will learn more about the red kites which are one of Scotland's greatest conservation success stories.

"The event is free of charge and there is no need to book. All you need to bring is warm clothes, a pack lunch and your whole family!"
