Escape to Nene Washes in spring and summer for a walk along the wash bank with fine views over the flood plain meadows. Or venture out in winter and discover a flooded landscape, alive with waterfowl.

Once a stretch of farmland, this wetland reserve is now a rich mix of reedbeds, marshes and woodlands where Kingfishers and Otters thrive.

West Sedgemoor is closed to visitors to protect the wildlife that lives here. To enjoy the wonderful variety this sprawling place has to offer, wander the public footpaths around the edge for fantastic views and a chance to spot Cranes and hedgerow birds and butterflies.
