Birdfair 2019 Twitter Competition Rules, terms and conditions

During the weekend of 27-28 July, we will be running a competition on RSPB’s Birder Twitter account asking people to share their worst capture of a rare bird.

We will be giving away 1 pair of tickets for a 3-day’s entrance to the Birdfair 2019 on the 16th-18th August.

This competition is open to all UK residents over 18, except any employee of or person directly connected with the RSPB and their immediate family members. Proof of age may be required.

The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.

All entries must be submitted by replying to the competition post on Twitter on either of the dates of 27 or 28 July 2019. Only entries posted in the Twitter thread for the post will be counted.

Entries must be posted by midnight, 28 July. Any entry which is late, incomplete or inappropriate will be deemed invalid at the discretion of the RSPB.

The RSPB accepts no responsibility for any technical failure, malfunction or any other problem with any server, internet access system or otherwise which may result in any entry being lost, corrupted or not properly registered or recorded. No responsibility will be taken for damaged or lost entries.

The judges will look at the entries and then pick 1 winner. Decisions shall be final and no correspondence regarding the results will be entered into.

There will be 1 winner in total. The winner shall receive two 3-day passes tickets to the Birdfair 2019 show.

The winner will be notified by direct message within 1 week of a decision being made. They will be provided with an email inbox address where they need to send their postal address details. Tickets will be dispatched to the winner once we receive their information. If the winner does not provide this information within 7 days of receiving their notification, they will forfeit the prize and the RSPB will select another winner of their own choosing.

The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.

The prize is provided by Birdfair 2019 and may be subject to further terms and conditions imposed by Birdfair 2019.

The RSPB reserves the right to refuse entry or to refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of the Rules or the Terms and Conditions or the spirit of the Rules or the Terms and Conditions.
