Windmill against a stormy sky

Ecotricity and the RSPB are committed to achieving a net-zero carbon future together.

Tackling climate change together

Ecotricity is Britain’s greenest energy company, which not only supplies green energy but makes it too. We have partnered with Ecotricity to build a turbine at our UK headquarters and encourage everyone to use green energy, as climate change is one of the biggest threats to wildlife.

The government’s goal is for 15 per cent of the UK's energy supply to come from renewable sources by 2020. It's a massive task, but everyone can play their part by considering where their energy comes from and reducing their own carbon footprint.

Your role to play

Switching to Ecotricity is one of the biggest things you can do to tackle climate change; it's also one of the easiest. As an RSPB supporter, if you switch to Ecotricity for your electricity and gas supply, we will receive £50 every year that you remain with Ecotricity. Just quote “RSPB” when you sign up.

Ecotricity is a not-for-profit company and will use the revenue from your energy bills to build new sources of green energy via its unique “Bills into Mills” model, turning customers' energy bills into windmills.

So far, the RSPB and its members have saved over 10,000 metric tonnes of CO2 – it would take four million trees a whole year to sequester that much carbon! The average RSPB customer saves 704kg of CO2 each year their energy is supplied by Ecotricity.

Ecotricity’s pioneering green mobile service, Ecotalk, has also supported the purchase of Fairburn Tips on our Fairburn Ings nature reserve in West Yorkshire, helping protect this land for future generations, forever.
