What we're looking for

We organise regular work parties to carry out various habitat management and estate work on the reserve. We want volunteers help in the areas of habitat management and reserve maintenance. All tasks are vital for conservation of the site and for retaining good access around the reserve.

The skills you need

You will need enthusiasm, an interest in conservation and to enjoy working as part of a team. No specialist skills are required though a desire to work outside in all weathers is essential. You will need an up-to-date tetanus injection and be physically able use hand tools and walk up to 4 miles in a day.

What's in it for you?

This is a great opportunity to learn about reserve management of heathlands, wetlands and woodlands. You will get the chance to enjoy the reserve and build up skills in conservation. There are also training opportunities for those who commit themselves on a regular basis.
