Bird Surveyor, Marshside

We need to regularly monitor species, which occur on the reserve in nationally and internationally important numbers in order to maintain and update our databases and help measure the effectiveness of habitat management work.

Ability to identify a variety of bird species by sight and call. To be able to walk moderate distances (6-7 Kms)

An opportunity to develop field skills and make a great contribution to conservation. Surveys allow access to some wonderful areas not open to the public. An opportunity to increase your expertise and learn more about the reserve. To contribute to the monitoring of the reserves' key species and an excuse to go birdwatching! The RSPB is an active and exciting conservation charity, the largest in Europe! We can help you gain skills and give you a valuable insight into our work.
