What we're looking for

Local Groups are the RSPB's ambassadors. Based all over the UK, each represents the RSPB's values, aims and mission in its own local area. They are entirely volunteer run and led, and are at the front lines for key engagement with local people, with their extensive yearly programme of walks, talks, day trips and indoor meetings that group members, and members of the public, can attend and enjoy. We want you to become a part of this strong community of nature champions by joining the Committee. We're looking for people who are passionate about connecting people with nature, and helping in the smooth running of the local group, with the option to do this in several different ways.

The skills you need

All you need is a willingness and ability to help with one or more of the varied activities of our RSPB local groups.

What's in it for you?

By becoming part of the Local Group Committee, you'll have the chance to directly influence and structure the Local Groups many aspects. From fundraising ideas to events on the calendar, promotion to engaging with RSPB teams, you'll have the opportunity to use your existing skills (and learn new ones) to build the Group and make it an ever more important aspect of local RSPB connections with people. Being a community group, you'll also have the opportunity to make new friends and relationships, have fun, and know you are enthusing people about the joys of nature. Our current Local Groups/Teams are based in the following locations: • Cornwall • Plymouth • Torbay & South Devon • Exeter & District • South Dorset • South Somerset • Bath & District • Gloucestershire • South Wiltshire • Guernsey & Bailiwick

Appropriate training will be provided and expenses will be re-imbursed where necessary.
