What we're looking for

Are you looking for experience in conservation work, and would like some time in an office environment? Or are you looking to use your admin skills to help save nature? If so, then this could be exactly what you're looking for! Our Volunteering Development Officer is looking for someone to assist with the promotion of and support of volunteering across the region. The role will involve: - Volunteer admin, such as, updating the volunteer database, spreadsheets and processing expenses - Promoting volunteer opportunities online - Responding to volunteer enquiries from members of the public - Processing volunteer long service awards - Supporting regional staff with volunteering enquiries and quality standards

The skills you need

We're looking for someone who has good administrative, organisational and communication skills and has attention to detail. An interest in conservation issues would be useful but it's not essential. You would need to be keen to learn and comfortable using Microsoft Office.

This is a great opportunity to help promote volunteering across the Midlands and ensure we are delivering a great experience for volunteers. We currently have around 1,400 volunteers in the region and would like your support in supporting them. You will get a chance work closely with a small team but also liaise with our network of 23 RSPB local groups and external organisations. The RSPB midlands office is in Birmingham City Centre. You will be working alongside a friendly and passionate bunch of people, all committed to saving nature. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and find out about how the RSPB is saving nature in the midlands.
